The Philippine Embassy in Manama, Kingdom of Bahrain and Sentro Rizal Manama informs everyone that the Commission on Filipinos Overseas (CFO) formally opened the nominations for its first ever HIMIG MIGRASYON: SONGWRITING CONTEST. Deadline for the submission of entries is on October 31, 2021.
This Songwriting Contest aims to make music as an advocacy tool to raise public awareness on the life of our overseas Filipinos and the issues and challenges they face abroad.
The CFO is searching for a musical piece that will embody the inspiring and challenging life of an overseas Filipino and their migration journey. The song will serve as a tribute to the sacrifices and important contributions of the 10 million Filipinos overseas to their host countries and to Philippine development during this time of global pandemic.

His Excellency Alfonso A. Ver, Ambassador of the Republic of the Philippines to the Kingdom of Bahrain, paid a courtesy call on Deputy Prime Minister His Highness Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, at the latter's office on Sunday, 01 August 2021.
The Deputy Prime Minister expressed his appreciation on Ambassador Verβs efforts in promoting the interests of Philippines and its people, especially the advancement and protection Filipinosβ welfare in the Kingdom.
